With Australia’s energy security challenges front of mind, members of the Climate Capital Forum have been in Parliament House this week meeting with MPs and senior officials to advance practical solutions to a critical, near-term priority: getting clean energy capital moving.
READ THE BRIEF:
As outlined in our brief, Australia has already committed tens of billions of dollars to the energy transition through major public financing institutions and programs. However, the pace of deployment is lagging behind ambition, with too much capital yet to reach projects on the ground.
Our delegation brings real economy and deep policy experience to policymakers, focused on accelerating the delivery of committed funding by removing bottlenecks and strengthening co-investment settings to unlock private capital.
We are also highlighting the need to close the early-stage cleantech financing gap, ensuring Australia can commercialise emerging technologies and build a stronger pipeline of future industries.
Together, these reforms will support energy security, lower costs for households, and position Australia as a more competitive destination for clean energy investment.
